  • Good workflow means matching the tool to the size of the job.

A sense of proportion

There is an old British saying about not using a sledgehammer to crack a nut, and Nicole Junkermann finds it applies neatly to AI. The largest systems are impressive, but they are also slower and more demanding than many everyday questions require. A short summary, a quick sorting job or a simple lookup can often be handled by a lighter tool, leaving the heavier ones for problems that genuinely need them. The result is quicker answers, lower running costs and less waste. It is the same sense of proportion that serves well in any long-term undertaking: spend effort where it changes the outcome, and keep things simple everywhere else.
